Equally fantastic is the ride to the hills.

We went to Loboc but it was not Tarsier or the river (although I enjoyed them too)that went with me out of Bohol. It was the feeling that I felt when we passed by Bilar, the town where my grandmother lived as a young woman before they went to Davao. Whatever they meant by "roots", I felt it that day and can remember how it got me.
