tell that to the curly

having curly hair in a country where women (and maybe men) adore straight hair is not nothing. therefore i did something today which i know will just be good for 48 hours plus or minus.

a hair cut, not for the hair cut, but for the "fierce" blow dry which will make my hair straight (i dont have the patience to do it myself therefore i didn't buy one, in case you are wondering
) for a period of time.

why do they do it "fierce"? so that they can tell you the following:

-why don't you have your hair straightened?
-we have thermal.
-we offer cellophane.
- and the other one, which i just heard this afternoon, and forgot.

P.S. The reason actually is I am seeing someone tomorrow, who some 6 years ago told me I looked good with my straightened hair. Is that good enough reason? But really I don't rule out going back to have one of those packages (again, after 6 years). Perhaps, tomorrow she will give this thought some reinforcement.

beautiful flower with some curls too and red flowerette pattern inside. ahh, outer and inner beauty.

inner beauty...tell that to the curly where i live, but not after offering her the packages.

Your post made me smile — I've thick, wavy, buhaghag hair and I'm forever hearing the same thing from hairdressers and even friends. Buti na lang my husband likes my hair the way it is. I do too — I look weird with flat, straight hair — doesn't go with my face shape. ;)

Thanks for your visit to My Manila and your nice comment!

And some straight haired women wants some curls to their hair-- me. Mine usually stays flat and limp throughout the day. Very unflattering. and I don't have patience curling it up or whatever. we usually want what we aren't or something like that. lovely flower pic, btw.
